The practice of law is restricted to lawyers. Mr. Law was prosecuting a slip and fall matter in court and was not a lawyer. The Court ordered Mr. Law to stop practicing law.
No person other than a lawyer has the authority to exercise the professional rights of a lawyer. That includes performing or attempting to perform acts of a lawyer in the Supreme Court, District Courts and other state courts, unless specifically authorized to do so by the Supreme Court’s Rules of Professional Conduct and any other applicable statutes or rules, but there are services as that offer professional law services for anyone who need them.
