Waldbillig<\/em><\/a>, 2006 CanLII 6460 (ON S.C.D.C.), recently examined the issue of the control a medical director has over paramedic conduct and the paramedic&#8217;s practice and service delivery. The decision deals with some interesting issues concerning the review of the medical director&#8217;s powers and ability to direct paramedic personnel. Another case, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.albertacourts.ab.ca\/jdb\/1998-2003\/ca\/Civil\/1998\/1998abca0411.pdf\"><em>Calgary (City of) v. Paramedic X<\/em><\/a>, 1998 ABCA 411, dealing with these issues was heard by the Alberta Court of Appeal quite some time ago. While both cases deal with slightly different questions, <em>Scheerer<\/em> and <em>Paramedic X<\/em> come to essentailly the same conclusions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ontario Divisional Court in, Scheerer v.
