Terminations for cause must be handled properly or the employer will pay a price upon Court review.
Don’t make unsupported allegations and don’t make threats of counterclaims. Even where the employer has a supportable termination, aggressive treatment of the employee will attract the wrong kind of scrutiny by the Court, in this case punitive damages in the amount of $100,000; and moral damages in the amount of $25,000.
